Have you planned for an emergency?
Why not register with our carers emergency card scheme to give you peace of mind that, should something happen to prevent you from providing care, the person you look after will not be left without support.
Who is the service for?
It is for you if you are concerned about what would happen if you were taken ill, involved in an accident or if another emergency stopped you from getting to the person you look after.
How does it work?
Once registered, you will be given a carers emergency card to carry in your wallet or purse. No personal information is shown on the card. It has only a unique identification number and a 24 hour, seven days a week phone number. Should it be necessary, the unique identification number will be used to access your details and put your emergency plan into action. This could be as simple as contacting a named friend or relative right through to contacting health or social services and making arrangements for alternative care.
How much does it cost?
The service is provided free of charge through a partnership between Bolton Carers Support, Careline (Bolton at Home) and NHS Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group.
How do I register?
Please contact our Carers Helpline on 01204 363056 – we will send you the registration form to complete. It is a simple and straightforward process.
